  • DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN ULAANBAATAR - June 3

Ulaanbaatar stands at the meeting point of nomadic tradition and accelerating modern change, its skyline rising from a valley long shaped by herders, monks, and merchants. Arrival at the international airport leads into the city center, where wide boulevards contrast sharply with the distant steppe. The afternoon remains at leisure to adjust after the journey and take in the shift from open landscapes to urban pace. Evening brings a welcome dinner, offering a first taste of Mongolian hospitality in one of the capital’s finest restaurants. Hotel 5 Star Accommodation - (D).

DAY 2 | EXPLORING THE MONGOLIAN CAPITAL CITY - June 4

Ulaanbaatar’s historical narrative begins at the National History Museum, where galleries trace Mongolia’s story from prehistoric cultures to the height of the Great Mongol Empire. A short walk leads into Sukhbaatar Square, where the statue of D. Sukhbaatar faces the monumental figure of Chinggis Khan, both framed by surrounding buildings that reveal the layering of socialist-era planning and modern architecture. After lunch, the visit continues at the Choijin Lama Temple, a beautifully preserved early-20th-century monastery whose richly decorated halls now serve as one of the region’s finest Tibetan-Buddhist museum complexes. Evening brings a traditional folk performance - throat singing, long-song, and horse-head fiddle - before dinner and a second night in the capital. Hotel Accommodation - (B,D).

    DAY 3 | TO THE GOBI - June 5

Leaving Ulaanbaatar, the road turns south toward the northern fringes of the Gobi, where plains gradually open into stony desert. After approximately three hours, the granite outcrops of Baga Gazariin Chuluu rise abruptly from the surrounding steppe, forming a landscape of sculpted towers and hidden valleys shaped over millennia. A short afternoon walk reveals shifting colours as the sun lowers behind the rocks. The day concludes at a ger camp, offering a first night in traditional dwellings at the desert’s edge. Ger Accommodation - (B,L,D).

(B,L,D) - Confirms if - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner - are included that day. Itinerary and price is subject to change.
