After a long half hour wait, the moment finally arrived. The mother gorilla cautiously emerged from the dense foliage, shielding her newborn with her body, while her sister instinctively positioned herself as a guardian. As the mother slowly turned, revealing the tiny bundle cradled close to her, our hearts filled with awe. It was a profound privilege to witness this tender moment, realising they trusted us in their sacred space, sharing the joy of new life.
