PUMA & PATAGONIA
We are returning to one of our favourite locations in southern Chile, the Torres del Paine region in Patagonia. Darran has guided over 250 people through this region since 1989. His photographic experience is legendary. AND this is not just a general tour; rather we will be targeting the stunningly beautiful Puma big cats of the region.
While Puma will be one key target, we can not walk past the amazing scenery and nature that is all around us. The Autumn colours are iconic! Combine Darran’s vast and our local expert guides, and you are in for the very best of Patagonia.
However, we are only taking a small group. Please book early as this is a very specialised adventure!

Day 1: PUNTA ARENAS TO PATAGONIA WILDERNESS
April 9
We depart Punta Arenas early today and drive to Cerro Castillo (w/ stop in Puerto Natales). Fall colours will tempt us to stop opportunistically. What a great time of year to visit. We arrive in time for a workshop to maximise the adventures to come and a local shoot.

Day 2: PATAGONIA WILDERNESS - Puma Tracking
April 10
We depart early for our first Puma tracking adventure - how exciting! While our tracker is an expensive facet of the tour costs, you will quickly appreciate that their skills and knowledge to find cats are worth every cent! Nothing in nature is guaranteed, but pumas in the past decade have become habituated to humans. No human hunting equals no threat, so we have a very high possibility of success, if not most days, then during the week. This is why we have engaged a professional Puma tracker to optimise our chances and experiences.

Day 3: PATAGONIA WILDERNESS - Puma Tracking
April 11
Another full Puma tracking day. No day is the same, and no experience is repeated. We may encounter a mum with cubs, a lone male or perhaps two courting. Suddenly we could have a condor over our heads, or a zorro walking past. Each day's diversity is amazing, and the adventures are so exciting!
