Creative Week Photography Workshop

We believe in empowering photographers to explore their full potential without limitations. This workshop is the ultimate expression of this philosophy and is suitable for photographers at any stage of their creative journey.

Join us for a 4-night/5-day photo workshop featuring three of the best photo tutors - Darran, Frazer Leal, plus Mike O’Connor. Creative Week provides a unique opportunity for photographers of all levels to enhance their skills and knowledge in photography. The workshop is tailored to accommodate various levels of experience and covers a wide range of photographic interests, including landscape, nature, travel, and creativity. In addition to enhancing your photography skills, we also offer guidance on processing, storing, and even using your images.

We have run over 16 workshops at this location for some 25 years. Our knowledge of timing and our experience of teaching you to be more creative are second to none.

Itinerary to photo adventure ...

DAY 1 - Sunday

June 6

Services start today for this workshop. You can fly to Brisbane or the Gold Coast to start your adventure to Lamington. You should arrive up in the mountain at 12 noon today, at the latest. (You might like to arrive a day earlier? Julia can add more accommodation.) Group lunch is included at tyte cafe and starts at 12.30pm. Note that rooms will most likely not be ready until after lunch. Join your tutors for an afternoon workshop, starting at 2.30pm. A chance to ask lots of questions and sort technical and equipment issues. Your world class tutors will offer you top tips and technical information. Tonight, dinner is included from one of Australia’s leading resorts which also happens to own an award winning winery. Accommodation is included - (L,D)

DAY 2 - Monday

June 7

We head out early to shoot in the early light. If you have never shot bird images before, you are about to shoot some of the most amazing feathered friends on this planet. Again, your guides will help you shoot not only great traditional images, but offer some advanced creative techniques for those keen to try. And this is before breakfast! After breakfast, we take a walk to put the previous days theory into practice, using the Wishing Tree Track. Understanding light, your meter and equipment will be the key theme. Your tutors will show you some top techniques. Lunch is included. Afternoon workshop looking at visualisation and processing your images. Group dinner and a chance to swap some tall stories.

DAYs 3/4 - Tuesday, Wednesday,

June 8&9

We depart early each day mixing up landscape shoots to nature and we offer quality time exploring the creative options in the forest, including the Morans Fall walk - famous for its great artistic subjects. We have lunch back at the lodge. We mix field shoots with time at the lodge to process images. Your tutors are going to help you every step of the way. From novice to advanced, you will be challenged to new creative levels! The photo opportunities are very special! Group dinners and a chance to swap some tall stories each night. Final night dinner Thursday and drinks are on us!
