  • Why This Time of Year?

November is when Tropical North Queensland truly comes alive. Wildlife activity peaks, with rare birds, reptiles and mammals more active than during the cooler tourist months. While conditions are warm and humid, it’s this energy that creates the best photographic opportunities with lush rainforest, vibrant species and constant movement.

This exclusive expedition takes you deep into Cape York, including a private wilderness lodge on a 200 acre reserve near Iron Range. With access to remote locations few ever visit, you will photograph unique species such as palm cockatoos, riflebirds, kingfishers, parrots and elusive mammals like cuscus and possums.

With small group numbers and expert guidance, this journey combines immersive wildlife encounters, creative photography and hands on tuition, designed to help you capture truly unique images in one of Australia’s last untouched wilderness regions.
