BOTSWANA - the adventure ...

Darran has explored this stunning region many times over two decades. This exhilarating tour is your gateway to the stunning wildlife along the Chobe River, a natural treasure! Serving as the border between Namibia and Botswana, the Chobe River immerses you in a vibrant ecosystem. Our luxurious journey combines stays at our lovely lodge in Kasane, Botswana, with game drives and unforgettable moments on the Namibian side, anchored by the majestic Pangolin Voyager.

Just across the river lies Chobe National Park, famed for its remarkable wildlife concentrations. Witness iconic African elephants swimming, powerful lions lounging, and hippos wallowing in the shallows. Glide down the river with your camera, capturing scenes of crocodiles basking and flocks of colourful birds overhead. From majestic fish eagles to vivid kingfishers, keep an eye out for the elusive leopard lounging in acacia trees, along with grazing buffalo nearby.

DAY 1 - KASANE - Chobe National Park

April 30

We meet today at 2pm for a short workshop, followed by a private cruise on the Chobe River. How exciting to have your first nature experiences on the incredible waterways of this region. From elephants to kingfishers, your WPA guide will help you to capture some special images. We include dinner tonight at our lovely accommodation on the river.

DAY 2 - KASANE - Chobe National Park

May 1

Two land based game drives today. This is very different to the cruises and will open up new shoots and subjects. It is so exciting! Lot’s of tracks to explore and it seems something to photograph around every corner. Darran has been to this park many times and can help with the best angles and with the local expert guide, best locations and timing. Again, so many species! We look for leopard, lion, wild dog and other unique creatures.

DAY 3 - KASANE TO VOYAGER

May 2

Private transferred to Voyager. Our cruise departure and return is from the Namibian side of the river. After settling in, images are available immediately as birds fly over head. Cruising also opens up new subjects. This afternoon we board our exclusive safari boat tender to target a section of the river. All meals and drinks are included while cruising.
