Tanzania Photography Tour

We are offering the very best of beautiful Tanzania. We stay at fantastic high-quality (luxury) Tented Safari Camps that offer outstanding staff service, comfort and food. This is a small group luxury bush adventure. Tanzania is unique with its vast open grass plains and huge numbers of herding animals. So we are targeting the mass plains migrations at a particular time of the year. Each WPA past tour has enjoyed everything from lions with cubs to cheetahs, leopards, vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra, elephants and stunning birds. The species list is enormous, and the photo opportunities are endless. For this tour, we use beautiful lodges and famous Luxury Safari Tented Camps of a very high standard. This is not camping but it feels like camping in the wilds of Africa. Your bed is regular and super comfortable, with beautiful en-suites! Our vehicles have limited numbers, thus offering the perfect ‘elbow room’ with our pop top 4WDs and window space to optimise your shooting opportunities. We have shot at these locations before and guarantee you the chance to photograph and experience truly unique nature and cultural experiences - even for Africa!

DAY 1 - ARUSHA, TANZANIA September 10

Today we depart early and explore a small reserve near Arusha. A combination of walking and driving with small game and perhaps some rare monkeys. (No cats) A great chance for your WPA guide to offer you a workshop in the field to maximise your adventures to come. Accommodation - Lodge - (D) (NB: You should already be in Arusha for at least 24 hours. Julia will help with extra accommodation (not included) about the time of booking flights. This will help with the new time zone and optimise your Tanzania adventure.)

DAY 2 - ARUSHA - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK September 11

After breakfast, we drive through an ever changing landscape to Tarangire National Park for game drives of ‘The Elephant Playground’. This is an outstanding national park not far from Arusha that offers your first big cat opportunities, but so much more. Large elephant herds are a key subject here. We enjoy a picnic lunch and afternoon game drives with your WPA guide and local expert guide using years of experience to target the best locations. Have those long telephoto lenses ready. (And shorter lenses for up close.) Accommodation - Ndovu Tarangire Camp - (B,L,D)

DAY 3 - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK September 12

Full day of game drives in Tarangire exploring the river shores and the swamp area. Your guides will work hard to target the best of these key locations. Expect anything around a new corner as literally it could be a big cat, beautiful bird, monkeys, the list is too long. What you can expect is some fantastic elephant experiences, perhaps up close. Our game vehicles are the perfect platform for your safety, to view and to experience other creatures up close also. Accommodation - Ndovu Tarangire Camp - (B,L,D)
